Common problems

The entries do not appear, prices do not arrive, the Trader does not buy, settings go back: what to check.

Almost every problem can be read in GiBi → Status (one row per component with ✔ or ✖) and in the log. Here are the most common cases and what to do.

The Trader / Analysis / Album / GiBi entries do not appear

  • The Web App was already open when you installed or reloaded the extension: press F5. The side menu is built at login and the tool must hook it first.
  • Check in chrome://extensions that the extension is on and that the URL is the Web App’s (…/ultimate-team/web-app/).
  • EA changed the Web App’s internal classes: wait for an extension update (the store installs it by itself).

No prices on cards

  • You are not signed in with the GiBi account: reference prices go through the archive and answer only a signed-in user. Look at the GiBi account row in Status.
  • Your version is below the minimum version: the extension says so and asks you to update.
  • Until the price file is loaded for your platform cards stay without a chip: in Status you see cards loaded, last update and source.

The Trader does not buy

  • The log writes the reason every round: below the EA minimum (nobody can list there), no margin, price not verified (generic filters need a Min BIN less than 10 minutes old), cap below the market.
  • Filters created by the Analysis carry the “never above the reference” guard: if the market rose they do not buy until it comes back down.
  • EA answered 429/512/521 (too many requests): bottom bar “EA paused”, the Trader restarts by itself after 4–8 minutes. If it happens often, pick a slower preset.

Captcha, expired session, locked market

EA codes 458, 401 and 494: immediate stop with a notice, background checks included. Solve the captcha or log back in to the Web App and restart the Trader yourself once EA answers again.

Settings going back, filters gone

Browser space for ea.com is limited (about 5 MB). If a save fails the extension frees regenerable caches and retries; if that is not enough an error appears in the log and the Saving row in the Status card. From GiBi → Data saved in the browser clear the biggest areas (card art, player DB, price archive): they download again by themselves.

Different EA account

If you log in to the Web App with another EA account the extension stays locked on a screen that says which account the code is linked to. From there (or from your profile on gibifut.com) you can unlink the EA account at most once every 30 days, or use the code of another GiBi account.

Starting from scratch

GiBi → Data saved in the browser → 🧨 Reset everything: as freshly installed (two-click confirmation) deletes everything the extension saved and reloads the Web App; collection and index come back from the shared archive.
